These gifts are invested and the earnings are used to support the work of the Guild through programming or educational initiatives. Discretionary Fund (Non-Restricted Principal) - Another way of supporting the work of the Nashville Chapter is a donation to the Discretionary Fund. Gifts to this fund are available in their entirety, both principal and earnings, for programming or educational initiatives at the discretion of the Executive Committee. Donors may optionally designate their gift for a specific program or educational initiative which has been planned by the Program Committee for the upcoming year.
